Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ebied

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ebied, MD, FEBN, PhD, MSCS, is a Board-Certified Consultant Neurologist and Head of the Neurology Department at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah, and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah. With more than two decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience spanning Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, he is recognised as one of the region's leading authorities in headache medicine and neuroimmunology. He is a Board Member of the World Headache Society.

A Fellow of the European Board of Neurology with a PhD in Neurology from Zagazig University, Dr. Ebied subspecialises in headache medicine, neuroimmunology, and multiple sclerosis (MSCS-certified), with extensive experience in stroke and thrombolysis, epilepsy, and movement disorders. He established and led a multidisciplinary Headache Clinic from inception — with hands-on expertise in CGRP-targeted biologics (Aimovig, Emgality, Vyepti), ultrasound-guided Botulinum toxin, and therapeutic nerve blocks.

His research record includes 8 peer-reviewed publications and 4 multi-center randomized controlled trials in stroke, headache, and epilepsy (69 citations, h-index 6).
